movement.
As with conditioning, your players have to be stretched out before agility's.

FUNDAMENTALS.  The fundamentals of football are the building blocks of good football play. Elementary blocking, tackling, and ball carrying are some of the fundamentals. Don't neglect them.
As with any part of your training make sure your players understand the reason they are doing every specific training task during fundamentals training.

SQUAD TRAINING.  When I say squad, I am not only talking about the offensive or defensive units, I mean the line and the backfield as well.
Squad training gives the coach a chance to identify minor flaws in player technique, and allows for individual training of younger players.  Squad training also gives your players a chance to learn from one another.  Encourage your more  experienced  players to pass on what they have learned,  this makes your job easier and gives your younger players a boost.

TEAM TRAINING.  Team training is usually accomplished through scrimmages. This is extremely necessary for the development of play execution and timing. Scrimmage also allows the coach to determine whether his plays are functional, and gives opportunity for the coach to evaluate and make adjustments to his game plan.
Scrimmage is the best overall training you can conduct, but it must be closely monitored to insure your  players do not laps into poor play habits.

POSITIONAL TRAINING.  Positional training is assignment specific drill, or one on one with the coach or another player.  Positional training is used to stress assignment requirements and fine tune individual technique.

In designing your training program, first determine the needs of your team, and  it's individual players.  Incorporate Whatever requirement specific training is needed into your program to insure all the identified needs are met.
When choosing training methods, do your best to make your training as realistic as possible, without subjecting your players to unnecessary risk of injury.
Never waste  time with training that does not accomplish what it is designed  for.  Throw it out for something that does work.
